Thanks for posting your videos. What type of phaco machine are you currently using? It seems to me that your current system encounters far more surge than I have ever encountered using Alcon Infiniti and now Alcon Centurion. Pricey but makes surgery safer and more efficient in my opinion. Have a nice day!

Multifocal provide bad vision

Is the IOL properly oriented? Looks like haptics are in S orientation. I would be concerned about the effectiveness of this multifocal IOL if not.
Good eye. The iol was intentionally placed upside down. I did this due to the unstable posterior capsule. These lenses are VERY difficult to reverse optic capture when placed right side up due to the offset of the haptics. However this same offset makes them easy to capture when placed upside down. I later discovered that the anterior capsulotomy was a little too snug to capture without enlarging, and that the posterior capsule was more stable than I had feared. As for the effectiveness of the multi focal (edof in this case) which is on the posterior surface when placed conventionally, my thinking is that as it moves anterior, the effective power would increase, causing the add power to effectively increase in the same way as other plus lenses do as they vertex forward from bag to sulcus to cornea to spectacle plane. 25mm post 64 cut RK eye. Short scleral tunnel. Phaco sized hole in posterior capsule. All lens material removed. Coaxial vitrectomy. IOL in sulcus with optic captured in rhexis. Triamcinolone shows absence of vitreous prolapse.

loose sub incisional zonules requiring capsule hooks to finish cataract removal. Capsule strengthened with capsule tension ring. Patient experienced some pain and moved eye resulting in radial anterior capsule tear. Some mild iris prolapse, easily managed.

after my husband had one done today, i'd say hell no... his second is in 2 weeks and so far he's not looking forward to that... lot of pain the first day - feels like crap in your eye, ok he says razor blades
